First, for a book which uses the word funny twice on the front cover, I found this read amusing at best. This is a selection of columns from the Author's blog a retired communications specialist with the RCMP. It is all not intended to be humor and does get somewhat preachy at times. Overall It's target audience is clearly not me (a retired old man), but more likely the average middle aged woman who has struggled with raising a family and growing older.
