These are so important to my 13yo that I had to read them. Recommend for YA or advanced J. I'm excited that there are 3 more!Love this series! The characters become more lovable with every book. The dialogue is spot-on and often hilarious, a delightful blend of young teen angst and romance and friendship and hilarityand the stakes get higher with every book. I love watching the characters grow and mature from book to book. Messenger takes an unusual approach in her depiction of kid-adult relationships, different from the standard middle-grade model of "kids going it alone," and I actually love her approach. The kids
Sophia believes she is safe with her friends and new family. She is happy with her friends and her new talents. She trys to gain a connection with the first female unicorn to be seen in a really long time and she is the only one who can communicate with her. Sophia believes she is safe but she knows the kidnappers may come back and she wonders why they are after her.

I loved these books, and out of the three of them, I think that actually, Everbalze was my favorite. LAothough there were many hardships and other things...(view spoiler)[ Sandor, Kenric and many other noble deaths, and also the entire Circlet thing (hide spoiler)] I also loved it because it progressed slowly, but then at the end, it went from like 5-100 in like, 5 pages. I also loved the cover.
5 stars

She's got like, 50 more powers than the normal elf, and was genetically modified to be super powerful. Maybe these were better the first time, but the second time I read them, I just wan't feeling the five stars. And when I read Red Queen and thought that it was really a five star book, I realized that these books aren't. So I lowered the
I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!This series is my top favorite. Shannon Messenger wrote in in such a suspenseful, humorous, and fun way that you can't help but fall in love. And, oh my gosh, those cliffhangers! Throughout the book, new questions keep coming up that I NEED ANSWERS FOR! I can't wait for the fifth book!#Recommended
