Narrative Supposing Books The Dangerous Days of Daniel X (Daniel X #1)

He was born with great power
The greatest superpower of all isn't to be part spider, part man, or to cast magic spells--the greatest power is the power to create.

Daniel X has that power.

And a deadly secret
Daniel's secret abilities - like being able to manipulate objects and animals with his mind or to recreate himself in any shape he chooses - have helped him survive. But Daniel doesn't have a normal life. He is the protector of the earth, the Alien Hunter, with a mission beyond anyone's imagining.

Now the fate of the world rests on Daniel X
From the day that his parents were brutally murdered before his very eyes, Daniel has used his unique gifts to hunt down their assassin. Finally, with the help of The List, bequeathed to him in his parents' dying breath, he is closing in on the killer.

Now, on his own, he vows to take on his father's mission - and to take vengeance in the process.

Write-Up Out Of Books The Dangerous Days of Daniel X (Daniel X #1)
DO NOT READ.

This is so the worst book known to man. I would say it is MIB meet Naked Gun 2 1/2. I really can not believe this book. Of course I choose it to read with my sister after getting into the Maximum Ride series. He is after all a reputable writer. Everyone has a few bad novels right. I even looked past the upset with the "Final Warning" in the Max Ride series. Anyway words can not describe how awful this book is. Suffice it to say I will not be finishing it. Can't even finish it. The writing

An amazingly quick read. It felt more like a saturday morning cartoon than a novel. It was light and teen-friendly without worrying about anything inappropriate. It deals with Daniel, an alien-hunter and his exploits in hunting a particular alien. It has short, choppy chapters and I read the whole thing (200+ pages) waiting for a plane in about 2 hours. It has a "Men in Black" kind of feel to it - almost comic-like, rather than serious. But I can't get over how fast it reads. I am disappointed

I read this a while ago, so I don't really remember too much about this book. But this is what I do remember.I didn't like it. Not that much. It was not terrible, just not good either. I just didn't like it on a simple, sentence by sentence basis. James Patterson's YA, which I've sampled, all have very similar problems-- poor pacing (events right after each other, just boom, boom, boom, without any introspection or breathing room) and the writing was very choppy. For some reason, I never really

Well, I didn't like this book from James Patterson, even though I loved some of his others. With this said, authors have their down sides, too. There comes a good one--a *really* good one--and then comes a bad. I love James Patterson--I think he's amazing, but I don't think that this was one of his best works. I was not into it, but being OCD, I made myself finish it. I didn't feel attached to Daniel, like I do to some of other characters from different books. Creative idea, I think, just not so

I'm going to be honest. I read this book and still don't even know what was going on. It jumped around so much. Probably because the chapters were so quick, but it seemed like he was trying to fit a longer story into fewer pages. One minute Daniel is a toddler then an alien hunter then he 's going after 6 then tricked by Phoebe then on an alien planet then finds his family. Anyone of those could have been its own book. The descriptions came off pretty vague and nothing really stuck. He didn't do

Daniel X is pretty much like "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" meets "Men in Black" but it is not half as good as either of those two media efforts. The main character's super powers are very unbelievable, and they leave the reader wondering, if this guy is so powerful he should be able to defeat the bad guys with both hands tied behind his back, but I guess it would only be a short story if that was the case.It would seem that Patterson is someone who just doesn't get that whole "science fiction
