This book was amazing! The diversity of the characters and the emotional battles they have to over with others as well as within themselves is simply mind blowing. It is my understanding that this is her first work and although there were a few typos here and there, they did not take away from the story. Reading this was like reading the journals of three close friends who all believe that the others have a better life than what they really do. One lesson I learned in all of this is that things aren't always what they seem! Excellent read for a first time author. Not perfect but good nonetheless!
I could identify with each character in A Bruised Heart. It was so real, I felt every available emotion, from laughing to crying to being angry because someone did something I didn't like. This was definitely an excellent read from a first time author. I look forward to the sequel!
