Great book. Gives a lot of interesting details about spells and so separates itself from other teen books with an unusually gifted teenager. Loved the inclusion of Jacob. The book wraps you up in its mystery so that you're racing to get to the end, just like the first one. Reading this book is like reading the first one in the series, blue is for nightmares. The same plot and characters, just changing names and a couple of things. That made me read really slow, as I was not interested in what is going to happen later. At least at the end, I recovered the interest for it and have a moment in there. The relationship between of Stacey with her boyfriend, mum or best friend was not developed or explained properly at all. Hopefully, the third one is going to be better

This book started off a little slow for me, but maybe it's because I read this book before Blue is for Nightmares. The main character suffers from recurring nightmares, followed by bouts of projectile vomiting.Once I got over the grossness of the vomiting, the story began to pick up the pace and it was very difficult to put the book down. The last few chapters had me on the edge of my seat and I was satisfied with the ending.I would rate it a 3.5, but that option is not available.

This one was definitely better than the first and I think I give that credit to Jacob - who is by far the best character to come out of this series so far. I like how the author kept him very secretive literally up until the last minute.
