Demon Apocalypse is the sixth book in Darren Shan's The Demonata series. Darren Shan released the title of the book September 29, 2007 at the Baeth Festival of Children's Literature.

Picking up where Blood Beast left off, Grubbs is on a plane in a dire situation face-to-face with Lord Loss and Juni Swan who has just been revealed to be one of his higher ranked familiars. Just when it seems like Grubbs will be killed, Beranabus (the homeless man from the previous book that had been following him around Carcery Vale, and a powerful magician who the Disciples follow) appears, the two jump from the plane, and fly to his cave. Once there, Beranabus and Kernel take Grubbs with them to fight a demon in one of the Demonata worlds. Grubbs chickens out and is stuck in Beranabus' home for seven weeks. Once Beranabus and Kernel return from demon hunting, they all discover that the tunnel that Bec had sealed 1600 years ago has been opened, and hell has been brought to Earth. Enlisting the help of the Disciples, Grubbs, Kernel, and Beranabus set out to reseal the tunnel and remove the Demonata from Earth at the same time.

I love how vividly gory the descriptions are, these books might be meant for kids but there's some serious body horror going on in this book. This series is so fast and fun to read, I'll finish the rest of the books very soon!

The theme of this book is do what is best for others. Grubbs had a tough choice where he had to kill someone as a sacrafice so the person wouldnt die painfully.

even better than the last book, so intense it has you right on the edge of your seat till that very last page. must fight the urge to pick up the next book and keep going. this book only stays quiet for a few chapters before shit hits the fan, then its a non stop roller coaster till the end. the few battle scenes are the most intense of the series and for those who have read this book they will know what i mean when i say all looks lost. for anyone who reads these i have also put a short video

One of my favourite book in the series so far. This one feels well-thought-out since it incorporates a lot of what happened in the previous books. The novel takes place directly after the previous book which I think is a first in the series of my memory serves correctly. They embark on a lot of adventures and this one is definitely action-packed. This book answers a good amount of questions I had in the series.I'm not sure that what's going to happen next jn the series, but this book gets me

This book continues directly where the previous book ended. All of the previous books have been basically been leading up to this book, all the main protagonists come together at last! A fast-paced, detailed, frustrating plot that leaves you hungry for more! After a minor dip of moving the plot forward in the previous instalment, this one is a hell of a ride. Brace yourself to say goodbye to a beloved character...

This is yet another entertaining read.Shan pulls a stunt he also used in the Cirque du Freak series and which isn't something I particularly like. Still it's not as big a cop out as it is in Cirque du Freak, so I let it pass with only a little bit of grumbling.All in all an entertaining read with one very interesting development. On to the next book.

Continuing where Blood Beast left off this book is action packed from the very start.This book continues along with the story of Grubbs but also includes other important characters, giving us information on how all the main characters are linked together and suggesting what their purpose is. As entertaining as the other books in the series this one really helps the reader to see the bigger picture in the series.
