Narration Toward Books The Dark (Guardians of Time #2)
First of all, I have to say I am not a native english speaker so, please, I prefer to not be attacked, if I made any mistakes. Instead of do that, it would be nice if you corrected me, thank you :)
This book is the second book of The Guardians of Time trilogy (which is about to become a tetralogy in the future, yay). I have to say to not read this review on the app, because spoilers tags - that I always put- are removed and I don’t want to spoil anyone. If you are reading this review on your computer, go on. Of course there are spoilers for the ones that haven’t read the first book. Why are you reading a review of a second book in a series, you haven’t read the first, dear person I’m referring to you (go read the first).
The Dark tells the story after the events that happened previously on The Named. After Ethan killed Marduke and got his wings, a year passed by. Ethan is now training Matthew as his apprentice and everyone should be happy after the amazing happy ending we got at the end of the first book. Man, you are so wrong. I won’t say anything anymore or you’ll get spoiled.
+ While the first book is narrated by Ethan and Isabel, this one is told by Isabel and *rolls drums* Arkarian! The one and only almost-immortal-Ethan’smaster who actually is Isabel’s soulmate. One of my favourite characters, personally. Who doesn’t love this violet eyed and blue-haired guy?? I was so exicted to read his point of view. Anyway, it was good but not enough. I wanted more parts told by Arkarian and less by Isabel, to be honest. I would have preferred Ethan and Arkarian with some Isabel, actually. One of the things that I didn’t appreciate was, in fact, no Ethan point of view in this book. Look, I like this guy: he’s so all sassy and brave (more stupid-brave) and I related him to Percy Jackson.
+ Finally we learn something about The Goddness! She has only have been a sort of ‘ghost’ in the first book: everyone feared her, who fights against her, but actually she doesn’t appear and now she has showned up. We got to know more about her, which is a thing I really liked.
+ Aside characters are , in general, more developed than in the first installment of the series . Matt is more present, we discover more things about him and his bond with Ethan is more treated. Other characters like Ethan’s mom, Rochelle, (view spoiler)[Sera, (hide spoiler)] Matt and Ethan’s friend play an important role in the story.
+ Basically, this is dedicated to Arkarian or to the pairing Arkarian-Isabel . What about discovering more about Arkarian’s life and secrets? Would be wonderful, wouldn’t it? It’s all this book is about.
+ Marianne Curley hasn’t stopped surprising me. The plot twists are intense and amazing. (view spoiler)[One scene, in particular, left me speechless: when Lorian said to Arkarian “I’m your father.” What?! Such a Star Wars scene. I wasn’t expecting that. (hide spoiler)] In general, a lot of scenes and plot twists left me in a such of surprising state.
+ Although a few issues, this was a perfect second book of a series: while second books tend to be worse than the first, this wasn’t. So curious to read the third!

Gave book 2 a chance. It was as bad as the first. Some of these characters are so irritating I wanted to reach through and snack them. How is the rating for these so high? She clearly has no training as a writer.I liked the Dark, I don't have anything bad to say about it, but I don't really have anything spectacular to say either. The plot kept moving and the characters developed well. I liked that this book centered on Arkarian because he's the best to be honest. The Dark was a fun read, so that was a plus.Isabelle/Arkarian: I approve and I liked the way Lorian gave his approval in the end of the book (it might be a little much though? I dunno)Matt: He's extra-special now? Cool I guess.Rochelle: Still
There is a girl name Isabel and she would do anything to save Arkarian who was kidnap by the order of chaos and they were determined to destroy everything about Arkarian exsitances in the world and Isabel along with Matt and Ethan work together to do whatever they can to save him. I really like this book because it Has a very interning setting and plot to it that makes me want to read the book to find what happen in the end, a very thrilling book that make you ask yourself what happen to it when

as good as the first one, loved every minute of it, couldn't put it down
I can't believe how much of this book is forgotten!!!! So much better than I remembered!!!
Ok, I really liked it but some things felt kind of forced and the action was non-stop, something that doesn't fit quite well with me... But I'll definitely continue with the series, I enjoy these books!Possible triggers: Torture, whipping, beating and inflicting pain in general in one of the main characters.
Another brilliant book in the series
